Eucharist with homily (sermon)
10:30 a.m. Sung Eucharist
with Gallery Choir, congregational singing and full lay
participation.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays of the month
- traditional music and liturgy drawn from the Book of Alternative Services and
"Common Praise" hymn book.
Worship is followed by an informal time of
conversation and refreshments in the gathering space at the back of the church.
4th Sunday (September through June)-
using cotemporary music drawn from a number of sources with a more
relaxed liturgical format this liturgy explores some of the options open to
the community in its worhsip life.
A play space for infants and small children is
located
in the church in the Gathering Space where parents can stay with
their children and still take part in
the worship service.
4:00 p.m. Choral Solemn Evensongis sung on the 4th Sunday
of each Month from September through June. An occasional choir
rehearses an hour before the service and sings the office each
month. Four times during the year Evensong is followed by
Devotions before the Blessed Sacrament.
Weekday Liturgies
WEDNESDAY (September to June)
7:30 p.m. Eucharist with
contemporary music
This liturgy uses
inclusive language texts, contemporary music drawn
from a number of styles and traditions, and provides for silences for reflection
and prayer. The homily takes the form of a community discussion, in
which people can take part or just listen.
4th WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH
8:30 a.m. Eucharist followed by Breakfast at a
local restaurant.(September through June)
A quiet early morning service
using the Book of Alternative Services, with a brief reflection on
the readings. Everyone is then invited to gather at a local
restaurant for breakfast and conversation.
SAINTS DAYS AND HOLY DAYS
Are observed with a celebration of the Eucharist at a time
announced. These days include Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Feast of the
Ascension, All Souls. Some major Feast Days are transferred to the closest
Sunday, or the closest weekday celebration.
